Lane A: HeLa Whole Cell Lysate, Lane B: THP1 Whole Cell Lysate, Lane C: HCT-116 Whole Cell Lysate, Lane D: HepG2 Whole Cell Lysate. Lysates/proteins at 30 μg per lane. Secondary antibody: Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L)/HRP at 1:10,000 dilution. Developed using the ECL technique. Performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size: 33 kDa. Observed band size: 35 kDa.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the F-actin capping protein alpha subunit family. It is the alpha subunit of the barbed-end actin binding protein Cap Z. By capping the barbed end of actin filaments, Cap Z regulates the growth of the actin filaments at the barbed end.
