LILRB5 Antibody (PA5-99850) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of LILRB5 in HepG2 cells. The samples were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25°C. Samples were incubated with LILRB5 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-99850) and mouse anti-beta tubulin antibody for 1 hour at 37°C. An AlexaFluor594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG(H+L) (Red) and an AlexaFluor488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG(H+L) (Green) were used as the secondary antibodies. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue).

This gene is a member of the leukocyte immunoglobulin-likereceptor (LIR) family, which is found in a gene cluster atchromosomal region 19q13.4. The encoded protein belongs to thesubfamily B class of LIR receptors which contain two or fourextracellular immunoglobulin domains, a transmembrane domain, andtwo to four cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitorymotifs (ITIMs). Several other LIR subfamily B receptors areexpressed on immune cells where they bind to MHC class I moleculeson antigen-presenting cells and inhibit stimulation of an immuneresponse. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoformshave been found for this gene.
