Western blot analysis of TMEM240 in, Lane 1: rat brain tissue lysates, Lane 2: NIH3T3 whole Cell lysates, Lane 3: COLO320 whole cell lysates. Electrophoresis was performed on a 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel) / 90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 50 µg of sample under reducing conditions. After Electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a Nitrocellulose membrane at 150mA for 50-90 minutes. Target Information
TMEM240 is a small, highly conserved transmembrane protein expressed in brain. The TMEM240 gene maps to chromosome 1p36.33. This gene encodes a transmembrane-domain containing protein found in the brain and cerebellum. Mutations in this gene result in spinocerebellar ataxia 21.
