Simon Welzmiller

Global Application Specialist XRD, Thermo Fisher Scientific

Simon Welzmiller works as the scientific lead of the global XRD applications team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. After completing his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemistry at Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich, Simon began his PhD studies at Leipzig University in 2011, focusing on material science and crystallography. In 2015, Simon started his career in the analytical instruments business before joining Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2017 as an Application Specialist for XRD in the EMEA region. Since 2018, Simon has been working as the Global Applications Specialist for XRD.
