Western blot analysis of Complement Factor I in Lane 1: rat liver tissue lysate, Lane 2: HeLa whole cell lysate using 50 µg (reducing conditions) per well. Electrophoresis was performed on 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel) / 90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours and protein was transferred to a nitrocellulose membrane at 150mA for 50-90 minutes. Target Information
Factor I, a serine protease, is a regulatory component of both the alternative and the classical complement pathway. Factor I is synthesized as a single chain precursor of 88 kDa, processed to yield the active form, composed of two disulfide-linked chains, the a-chain (50 kDa) and the b-chain (38 kDa). Plasma concentration is 35 µg/mL.
