The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Glutamate dehydrogenase 2, Glud2, is localized to the mitochondrion and acts as a homohexamer to recycle glutamate during neurotransmission. The enzyme catalyzes the reversible oxidative deamination of glutamate to alpha-ketoglutarate. Diseases associated with GLUD2 include Parkinson Disease, Late-Onset and Hyperinsulinemic Hypoglycemia, Familial, 6. Among its related pathways are GABA shunt and Carbon metabolism.
