Dry-Ready Revolution: Stability Without Lyophilization*

Sunday, April 19th, 1:00-1:20 PM

Speaker: Jūratė Zujienė, Product Manager, Thermo Fisher Scientific

Location: Innovation and Pipeline Theater

Presentation Summary:

Stabilizing molecular diagnostic assays without cold-chain logistics remains a major challenge for assay developers. Invitrogen Dry-Ready Reagents built from optimized enzymes, and buffers fortified with excipients offer a practical alternative to lyophilization by enabling fast and simple air-drying that preserves assay performance at room temperature. Stable, dried RT-qPCR and RT-LAMP assays have a wide range of applications, including field diagnostics, point-of-care testing, and long-term storage for emergency preparedness.

This technology also supports robust RT-qPCR and RT-LAMP workflows while accelerating development cycles and reducing operational complexity by allowing assays to be dried through gentle heating at moderate temperatures in a standard ventilated oven. Dry-Ready reagents demonstrate proven long-term stability and reliable amplification performance after storage at elevated temperatures for extended periods.
