Why data integration matters in Cryo-EM

Effectively managing cryo-EM data with CryoFlow Software

On-demand webinar

Duration: 30 minutes

As cryo-EM workflows continue to scale in throughput and complexity, efficient data management has become a critical factor in achieving reliable, reproducible results. Designed as the built-in data integration platform for Smart EPU Software and the CryoTomo Software Suite, Thermo Scientific CryoFlow Software ensures that acquisition, analysis, and storage are fully connected.

This on-demand webinar provides an in-depth look into how CryoFlow Software seamlessly integrates data across single particle analysis (SPA) cryo-EM and cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) workflows.

Watch on demand to learn:

  • How CryoFlow Software integrates Thermo Scientific Cryo-EM data acquisition software for unified workflows.
  • Live Export automates direct transfer of high-quality data from microscope storage to processing storage during acquisition enabling near real-time analysis
  • Enhanced reporting capabilities with specialized viewers that ensure full metadata traceability and compliant documentation

Who should watch

  • Cryo-EM researchers and microscopists acquiring SPA and cryo-ET data
  • Cryo-EM facility managers overseeing multiple microscopes or users
  • Teams seeking to improve cryo-EM workflow efficiency, data traceability, and reproducibility

About the speakers

Julio Ortiz, PhD, Sr. Software Product Marketing Manager, Thermo Fisher Scientific

Julio began his career in electron microscopy at the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC) before specializing in tomography and associated techniques at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry. His expertise covers a broad range of techniques in cryo-electron microscopy, from single particle analysis to focused ion beam micromachinery for cellular tomography. He has also worked at the Netherlands Centre for Electron Nanoscopy (NeCEN), the Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology (IGBMC), and the Forschungszentrum Jülich as cryo-EM facility manager.

Maxime Comet, Software Product Manager, Thermo Fisher Scientific

Maxime began his career as a researcher in atomic physics at the CEA in France, where he focused on numerical simulation and code development. He then joined Thermo Fisher Scientific, working on Tomo Live Software’s processing algorithms.

Recently, he transitioned to the role of product manager for CryoFlow Software, working to make it into an essential cryo-EM data integration platform for curating, transferring, and managing cryo-EM data.
