Normalization

Invitrogen custom DNA oligo synthesis in plates allows you to choose from 4 different post-processing formats to meet your experimental needs.

  • None: Each well will contain the amount of DNA oligo that was made for that particular sequence. This amount will be at least the minimum guaranteed yield based of the synthesis scale and purification selected but may vary for each of the oligos in the plate. This gives you the bulk of the synthesis material.

  • Concentration: Each well will have the concentration requested by you depending on your needs (1 to 250µM or 0.5 to 10 µg/µl). In this case it is important to select for the plate to ship re-suspended and not dried down so the normalization is not lost. This option allows the selection of aliquots for your plates (daughter plates), and those could be dried down while keeping the concentration normalization.

  • Volume: Each well will have the entire synthesis yield for each oligo resuspended to your desired volume. In this case it is important to ask for the plate to ship resuspended and not to be dried down.

  • Volume and concentration: Each well will have the oligo resuspended to your desired volume and concentration. In this case you will not be able to request aliquots but you could select pooling of two oligos in the same well, for example, forward and reverse sequences ready for PCR.
