The Bovine T (Testosterone)ELISA quantitates T in serum and plasma.
原理方法
The Bovine Testosterone (T) solid-phase competitive ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is designed to measure the concentration of Testosterone (T) in biological samples. A target-specific antibody has been pre-coated in the wells of the supplied microplate. Samples, standards, or controls are added into these wells and bind to the immobilized (capture) antibody.
Bovine Testosterone (T) in samples (or standards) competes with a fixed amount of Testosterone (T) immobilized on the solid phase for binding to the HRP-linked detection antibody specific to Testosterone (T). Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate.
A substrate solution is added that reacts with the enzyme-antibody complex to produce a measurable signal. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The intensity of this signal, measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 ± 2 nm, is inversely proportional to the concentration of Testosterone (T) present in the original specimen.

Testosterone is a steroid hormone from the androgen group and is found in mammals, reptiles, birds, and other vertebrates. In mammals, testosterone is primarily secreted in the testes of males and the ovaries of females, although small amounts are also secreted by the adrenal glands. It is the principal male sex hormone and an anabolic steroid.
