Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What are the recommended guidelines for use of the Aluminum oxide, cement, Al2O3 95% (SiO2 ∽5%) (Cat. No. 033201.A1)?

We recommend the following guidelines for use of Aluminum oxide, cement, Al2O3 95% (SiO2 ~5%) (Cat. No. 033201.A1):
Mixing: Add a minimum amount of water until the cement has reach your desired consistency.
Hardening: This product it is not cold-hardening. It contains an organic binder to increase dry strength. The organic binder is completely burned off during the heating process. Above 1200 degrees C, progressive hardening of the cement will occur as a result of sintering.
Curing: The curing time can vary depending on several factors, including: the amount of water used to form the slurry, the temperature used during hardening, and the degree of sintering desired (if heating to temperatures over 1200 degrees C).
