The Thermo Fisher FTIR ABO analyzer enables rapid validation of the compressed oxygen used by pilots and crew during flight operations. Use of FTIR analysis enables detection of common contamiants that may be present due to the manufactuing process. Contaminats such as Methane, Acetylene, and CFC/HCFC can be readily detected.
Designed for deployment the ABO is integrated into a rugged shipping case and requires a simple start up procedure.
Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy is a powerful technique for analyzing gas samples. Many gases have unique infrared signatures, allowing FTIR to analyze multiple compounds in a single analysis. FTIR is fast, precise, and requires minimal sample handling, making it a preferred solution over other analytical techniques. Thermo Fisher Scientific’s FTIR capabilities make it and excellent choice for analyzing Aviators Breathing Oxygen (ABO) for contaminants.
Deploying and using the ABO has been made simpler and more robust by integrating the FTIR analyzer into a ruggedized shipping case. The front and back panels of the case are removed at start up and allow easy access to sampling ports and purge gas lines.
Included with the ABO are all the necessary tools, manifolds and regulators.
The ABO can be purchased with an Uninterruptible Power Supply and a portable purge gas generator that allow the units to operate almost independently of available resources.
Comprehensive analysis of the ABO can be achieved through the addition of an optional oxygen analyzer, that will be fully integrated into the unit.
Coupling the ABO with Thermo Fisher Result Software enables fool proof operation and reporting through preloaded calibration models and workflows.
