ABS 012-35B-005 detects Exendin-4 from human samples. ABS 012-35B-005 is specific for the 9 - 39 region of the peptide, and the antibody cross-reacts strongly with exendin (9 - 39)amide. There is no cross-reactivity with GLP-1, GLP-2 (human) or glucagon coated on ELISA wells.
ABS 012-35B-005 has been successfully used in ELISA procedures.
The ABS 012-35B-005 immunogen is synthetic exendin-4.
NOTE: Concentration is lot-dependent and can vary from 0.85-1.15 mg/ml
Exendin-4 is a 39-amino-acid peptide found in venom from the Gila monster Helicoderma suspectum. It is a member of the glucagon-secretin family of peptide hormones and neuropeptides. Exendin-4 is a potent agonist of the GLP-1 receptor and hence a potent stimulator of insulin secretion.
