PA1-41633 detects Exportin-4 in chicken, chimpanzee, rhesus monkey, canine, human, rat and mouse samples.
This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, xenopus, and zebrafish based on sequence homology.
Suggested positive control: Jurkat whole cell lysate.
The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in human (isoforms CRA_a, _b, _c), rhesus monkey, chimp (isoforms 1-6), 94% homologous in bovine and xenopus, and 88% homologous in zebrafish.
Target Information
Nuclear transport receptors of karyopherin/importin-beta superfamily mediate various transport pathways between nucleus and cytoplasm. Exportin-4 is a novel mammalian member of this family. It is a RanGTP-binding protein consisting of N-terminal RanGTP-binding motif. It functions as a nuclear export receptor for eIF-5A and also might function as an export adapter in RNA export. It is also involved in nuclear export of Smad3 and regulation of Smad signaling.
