NAPRT1 Antibody (PA5-100073) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescent analysis of NAPRT1 in HeLa cells. Samples were fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100, blocked with 10% serum (45 min at 25°C), incubated with mouse anti-beta tubulin and NAPRT1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-100073) using a dilution of 1:200 (1 hr, 37°C), and followed by goat anti-rabbit IgG Alexa Fluor 594 (red) and goat anti-mouse IgG Alexa Fluor 488 (green).

Nicotinic acid (NA; niacin) is converted by nicotinic acid phosphoribosyltransferase (NAPRT; EC 2.4.2.11) to NA mononucleotide (NaMN), which is then converted to NA adenine dinucleotide (NaAD), and finally to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), which serves as a coenzyme in cellular redox reactions and is an essential component of a variety of processes in cellular metabolism including response to stress (Hara et al., 2007).
