TCF4 Antibody (PA5-102363) in WB
Western blot was performed using TCF4 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-102363) and a 75 kDa band corresponding to TCF4 was observed in SH-SY5Y, JeKo-1 and Reh which are high expression cell lines and no band was seen in HeLa and Hep G2 which are low expression cell lines. Whole cell extracts (30 µg lysate) of SH-SY5Y (Lane 1), JeKo-1 (Lane 2), Reh (Lane 3), HeLa (Lane 4), Hep G2 (Lane 5) were electrophoresed using NuPAGE™ 4-12% Bis-Tris Protein Gel (Product # NP0321BOX), 10 well. TCF4 is transcription factor 4, a basic helix-turn-helix transcription factor. The encoded protein recognizes an Ephrussi-box ('E-box') binding site ('CANNTG')-a motif first identified in immunoglobulin enhancers. This gene is expressed predominantly in pre-B-cells, although it is found in other tissues as well. Defects in this gene are a cause of Pitt-Hopkins syndrome.
