L-Ficolin Antibody (PA5-120478) in WB
Western blot analysis of L-Ficolin in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with L-Ficolin Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-120478) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 90s.

L-Ficolin (Ficolin-2) is an innate immunity pattern recognition molecule found in human serum. L-Ficolin binds to distinct pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMP), such as carbohydrates (GlcNAc), lipoteichoic acid and acetylated groups thereby facilitating phagocytosis and activation of complement through the lectin route using the same serine proteases as mannose-binding lectin (MBL) named MASP ((MBL)-associated serine protease).
