Ceruloplasmin Antibody (PA5-14225) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of Ceruloplasmin in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human hepatocarcinoma. Samples were incubated with Ceruloplasmin polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-14225) followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Target Information
Ceruloplasmin encodes a protein that is a metalloprotein that binds most of the copper in plasma and is involved in the peroxidation of Fe(II)transferrin to Fe(III) transferrin. Mutations in this gene cause aceruloplasminemia, which results in iron accumulation and tissue damage, and is associated with diabetes and neurologic abnormalities.
