Arp2 Antibody (PA5-17311) in ICC/IF
Immunofluorescence analysis of Arp2 was performed using MCF7 cells. The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton™ X-100 for 15 minutes, and blocked with 2% BSA for 1 hour at room temperature. ARP2 (actin-related protein 2) is an ATP-binding component of the ARP2/3 complex - a multiprotein complex that mediates actin polymerization upon stimulation by the nucleation-promoting factor (NPF). The ARP2/3 complex mediates the formation of branched actin networks in the cytoplasm and provides the force for cell motility. The ARP2/3 complex also promotes actin polymerization in the nucleus, thereby regulating gene transcription and repair of damaged DNA.
