CTDSPL Antibody (PA5-23546) in WB
Western blot analysis of CTDSPL in various lysates. Samples were incubated with CTDSPL polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-23546) using a dilution of 1:1,000 followed by Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, (H+L), Peroxidase conjugated at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 20 µg per lane. Lane 1: Hela whole cell lysate; Lane 2: K562 whole cell lysate. Predicted band size: 31 kDa. Blocking/Dilution buffer: 5% NFDM/TBST.

Recruited by REST to neuronal genes that contain RE-1 elements, leading to neuronal gene silencing in non-neuronal cells. Preferentially catalyzes the dephosphorylation of 'Ser-5' within the tandem 7 residue repeats in the C-terminal domain (CTD) of the largest RNA polymerase II subunit POLR2A. Negatively regulates RNA polymerase II transcription, possibly by controlling the transition from initiation/capping to processive transcript elongation. [UniProt]
