VPS29 Antibody (PA5-99024) in WB
Western blot analysis of VPS29 in multiple sample types using a VPS29 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-99024) at a dilution of 1:2,000. A goat anti rabbit polyclonal secondary antibody was used at a dilution of 1:50,000. Sample types that were tested include: PC3 whole cell lysate, Hela whole cell lysate, K562 whole cell lysate, THP-1 whole cell lysate, and A431 whole cell lysate.

This gene belongs to a group of vacuolar protein sorting genes that, when functionally impaired, disrupt the efficient delivery of vacuolar hydrolases. The protein encoded by this gene is a component of a large multimeric complex, termed the retromer complex, which is involved in retrograde transport of proteins from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network. This VPS protein may be involved in the formation of the inner shell of the retromer coat for retrograde vesicles leaving the prevacuolar compartment. Alternative splice variants encoding different isoforms, and usage of multiple polyadenylation sites have been found for this gene.
