Bacto Neopeptone is an animal origin (AO) enzymatic digest of bovine (milk) and porcine protein. This nutritional supplement provides vitamins, nucleotides, minerals, and peptides in a variety of sizes to any culture formulation. Customers have used Bacto Neopeptone as a component of culture media in the cultivation of human pathogens, notably Bordetella pertussis and group A streptococci, as well as Borrelia burgdorferi and Clostridium species, to produce vaccines for animal health applications.
