Dionex™ CarboPac™ PA20-Fast-4μm IC Columns

Catalog number: 302750

Achieve shorter run times when separating simple sugars in food/beverage, pharmaceutical, and biofuel samples using Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ CarboPac™ PA20-Fast-4μm columns. Compared to standard Dionex CarboPac PA20 columns, the new Dionex CarboPac PA20-Fast-4μm columns use smaller resin particles that produce more efficient peaks, resulting in more accurate integration and more reliable results. The smaller resin particles combined with reduced column length provide approximately 50% shorter runtimes than standard Dionex CarboPac PA20 columns without sacrificing performance.

High-sensitivity carbohydrate
  • Monosaccharide and disaccharide analyses
  • Glycoprotein therapeutics
  • Foods
  • Beverages
  • Biofuels
Advantages of the small-particle columns
  • Fast analysis of simple sugars (less than 6 minutes)
  • Improved peak efficiencies and resolution compared to the standard Dionex CarboPac PA20 column
  • High capacity requires less sample pretreatment
  • High reproducibility separations
Use with a high-pressure IC system

Higher resolution is achieved through the use of smaller resin particles which produce a column backpressure over 3000 psi at standard flow rates. High-Pressure IC (HPIC™) systems, such as the Thermo Scientific™ Dionex™ ICS-6000 HPIC™ or Dionex™ Integrion™ HPIC™ system, are required to operate this column under standard conditions. Use with pulsed amperometric detection (PAD) for direct quantification of non-derivatized carbohydrates with minimal sample preparation.
