Thermo Scientific™ SureSTART™ 1.5 mL Total Recovery Glass Snap Top Vial (Level 3) is the premier choice for high-sensitivity LC-MS and GC-MS workflows, delivering reproducible results and exceptional sample protection for demanding applications.

This total recovery vial is available in a single format:

  • 1.5 mL (total) with a usable volume of 1.1 mL and a residual volume of ~1 μL

This one-piece total recovery vial has a very low residual volume due to a specially shaped deep and narrow inner reservoir which collects the liquid in the base so that compatible autosamplers can maximize the injectable volume.

To achieve the lowest residual volume and to get the most out of these vials, use Thermo Scientific™ Vanquish™ UHPLC Systems equipped with Vial Bottom Detection

.

Made with high-purity clear glass, these vials contain the lowest metal content, extractables, and leachables - critical for maintaining sample integrity and meeting US, EU, and JPN Pharmacopeia standards. Also ensures consistent sensitivity and selectivity across HRAM (high-resolution accurate mass) instruments including Thermo Scientific™ LC and GC Orbitrap™ MS systems.

To better ensure optimal performance pair with Thermo Scientific™ SureSTART™ 11 mm snap caps and septa.

Key Features

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

What are SureSTART Total Recovery vials?

These one-piece microvials have a very low residual volume due to a specially shaped deep and narrow inner reservoir which collects the liquid in the base so compatible autosamplers can collect all but 1-2 microliters of sample while having a total sample volume of 1.2 mL. The outer dimension for these vials is 12 x 32 mm.

What are SureSTART microvials?

Microvials are suitable for use when sample volume is limited or when you need to get maximum recovery from the vial. These vials allow small volumes to be sampled accurately by autosamplers with a recoverable volume of much less than 100 µL. High recovery, total recovery, and vials with fixed inserts are all classed as microvials.
