The ATTO-TAG FQ Plus Amine-Derivatization Kit is a comprehensive solution designed for the efficient and sensitive detection of primary amines. This kit is a modification of the ATTO-TAG FQ Amine Derivatization Kit (Cat. No. A2334), with a key improvement: potassium cyanide, a hazardous substance, has been replaced with mandelonitrile, a less-toxic alternative. This modification ensures a potassium cyanide-free workflow without compromising its performance.

The ATTO-TAG FQ Plus Amine-Derivatization Kit reacts specifically with primary amines to form conjugates that can be analyzed by electrophoretic or chromatographic methods. This specificity ensures accurate and reliable results. The kit provides high sensitivity and excellent binding efficiency, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including research, diagnostic, and forensic applications.

The kit includes all necessary components for performing 200–400 derivatizations, depending on the conditions described in the protocols. The resulting products of FQ are maximally excited at 480 nm or by the 488 nm spectral line of the argon-ion laser and have emission maxima at 590 nm. This broad range of excitation and emission maxima enhances the kit's versatility and adaptability to various analytical methods.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

What is the difference between the ATTO-TAG FQ Plus Amine Derivatization Kit (Cat. No. A66521) and the ATTO-TAG FQ Amine-Derivatization Kit (Cat. No. A2334)?

The ATTO-TAG FQ Amine Derivatization Kit (Cat. No. A2334) contains a potassium cyanide (KCN) component (component B). This component has been removed in the ATTO-TAG FQ Plus Amine Derivatization Kit (Cat. No. A66521) and replaced with mandelonitrile which serves as a less toxic alternative to KCN without compromising assay performance.

Where can I find the expiration date for the ATTO-TAG FQ Plus Amine Derivatization Kit?

The ATTO-TAG FQ Plus Amine Derivatization Kit does not have an expiration date. The kit is guaranteed for 12 months from date of shipment, when stored as indicated, in the original unopened packaging. Stock solutions should be stable for 6 months after reconstitution of the ATTO-TAG FQ (component A) provided good quality methanol is used for reconstitution (methanol not included in the kit).
