ORP is short for Oxidation Reduction Potential mV (or Redox Potential) and it measures the total oxidizing/reducing capability (electrochemical potential) of a solution.

An important water quality indicator, it is used in many industries such as environmental, industrial and food applications. Some common uses include the effectiveness of water disinfection in swimming pools, assess the corrosion damage in power plants and monitor the Biological Nutrient Removal(BNR) in water treatment plants.
