Amiloride hydrochloride dihydrate is used as a calcium channel and sodium channel protein inhibitor. It reduces electrical potential across tubular epithelium, inhibits angiogenesis and inhibits capillary morphogenesis completely and reversibly at approximately 130 ?M. Amiloride

  • HCl is an inhibitor of Sodium/Potassium-ATPase Protein. Defines the I2A-amiloride sensitive and I2B-amiloride insensitive imidazoline binding Blocks TRPP3, acid sensing- (ASIC) and mechanogated membrane-ion channels, as well as the Na+/H+ exchanger. Also inhibits urokinase-type plasminogen activator (uPA); has no effect on tissue-type plasminogen activator.

This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.
