However, the 1.5 mL tubes have a narrow opening which requires folding the 13 mm DBS cutout into a “taco” shape prior to inserting into the tube. Other tubes (eg., Sarstedt 8 mL) have been used during development and work well, but have more dead space which may result in more sample evaporation.
