Journal:ARTHRITIS RESEARCH & THERAPY
PubMed ID:
Introduction Bacteria and/or their antigens have been implicated in the pathogenesis of reactive arthritis (ReA). Several studies have reported the presence of bacterial antigens and nucleic acids of bacteria other than those specified by diagnostic criteria for ReA in joint specimens from patients with ReA and various arthritides. The present ... More

Journal:YEAST
PubMed ID:
Four recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains with enhanced xylose growth (TMB3400, C1, C5 and BH42) were compared with two control strains (TMB3399, TMB3001) through genome-wide transcription analysis in order to identify novel targets for inverse metabolic engineering. A subset of 13 genes with changed expression levels in all improved strains was ... More
Primary extragastrointestinal stromal tumor of the transverse mesocolon without c-kit mutations but with PDGFRA mutations
Authors:Terada, T
Journal:MEDICAL ONCOLOGY
PubMed ID:
The author reports a rare case of primary large cystic extragastrointestinal stromal tumor (eGIST) of the transverse mesocolon with genetic analyses of the c-kit and platelet-derived growth factor receptor-α (PDGFRA) genes. A 78-year-old man was found to have a large cystic tumor in the abdomen, and the tumor was resected. ... More
