UltiMate™ 3000 (SD-RS) eLearning courses provide you with foundational knowledge and basic skills that you need to use and benefit from your instrument. You will find a series of eLearning courses which can cover different topics such as foundational theory and/or basic operations principle and/or user maintenance and troubleshooting.

The UltiMate™ 3000 (SD-RS) Foundational Theory eLearning course is an introduction to the general theories associated with High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The course examines basic chromatography theories and how different factors affect the chromatography of different types of samples. The standard parts of the HPLC system and analysis of samples will be explored. Some of the modules in this course include:

  • Identifying key components of a chromatogram and the components that cause variations
  • Different separation types based on types of columns, packing materials and flow rates
  • Basic HPLC modules and their functions
  • Basic examples of separation and the influence of altering chromatography conditions.

This Foundational Theory eLearning course is similar to the Vanquish™ Horizon, Vanquish™ Flex and the Vanquish™ Core.

The UltiMate™ 3000 (SD-RS) Basic Operations with Chromeleon™ eLearning course will provide basic training on the different modules and set-up for the Thermo Scientific™ UltiMate™ 3000 HPLC system. There are detailed descriptions of the different components of the UltiMate™ 3000 system. This course is designed for new users who want to learn how to use/run basic experiments on the instrument. The learner will also learn the routine steps to run samples. Some modules of the course include:

  • UltiMate™ 3000 pumps, autosamplers and detectors
  • How to initiate flow in the system
  • How to purge the air and previous mobile phases from the pump
