The AgriSeq Genomic DNA Extraction Kit enables generation of PCR-ready genomic DNA for next-generation sequencing and other applications from a variety of aquaculture and plant tissues in less than 10 minutes. No bead beating or mechanical homogenization of tissues is required. After DNA extraction, NGS amplicon library prep can be carried out using the AgriSeq HTS Library kit workflow.

How to use

Simply mix your tissue sample with the AgriSeq Genomic DNA Extraction lysis solution provided. Perform direct lysis by incubating for 2–5 minutes on a thermal cycler at 95–97°C for cell lysis. After lysis lower the temperature to 25°C for 3 minutes and add the AgriSeq Genomic DNA stabilizing solution to complete the crude lysis isolation. Spin the plate down briefly in the centrifuge to separate the tissue residue and the lysate. Store crude lysate at 4°C short-term or –20°C long-term or proceed directly to PCR amplification.

Note: For NGS applications, add 1 μL of Plant RNA Isolation Aid per 10 μL total reaction volume in place of nuclease-free water. For example, in a 25 μL reaction volume, replace 2.5 μL of water with 2.5 μL RNA Isolation Aid.
