ALDH9A1 Antibody (PA5-112089) in WB
Western Blot analysis of ALDH9A1 using ALDH9A1 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-112089) at a dilution of 1:500. Lane A: Hela whole cell lysate, (Lysates/proteins at 30 µg per lane). The secondary antibody used was a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L)/HRP at 1:10,000 dilution. Developed using the ECL technique and performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size: 54 kDa. Observed band size: 55 kDa.

ALDH9A1 belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family of proteins. The protein has a high activity for oxidation of gamma-aminobutyraldehyde and other amino aldehydes. The enzyme catalyzes the dehydrogenation of gamma-aminobutyraldehyde to gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). This isozyme is a tetramer of identical 54-kD subunits.
