ATOX1 Antibody (PA5-121042) in WB
Western blot analysis of ATOX1 in extracts of various cell lines. Samples were incubated with ATOX1 Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-121042) using a dilution of 1:1,000, followed by HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at a dilution of 1:10,000. Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 15s.

ATOX1 is a copper chaperone that plays a role in copper homeostasis by binding and transporting cytosolic copper to ATPase proteins in the trans-Golgi network for later incorporation to the ceruloplasmin. This protein also functions as an antioxidant against superoxide and hydrogen peroxide, and therefore, may play a significant role in carcinogenesis.
