Biotin Antibody (MA5-51924) in ELISA
ELISA analysis of Biotin using Biotin Recombinant Mouse Monoclocal Antibody (Product # MA5-51924; blue line) and isotype control (Product # MA5-47752, anti-fluorescein; orange line). ELISA plate was coated with biotin at a concentration of 2.5 µg/mL and a 3-fold serial dilution from 3000 to 0.0169 ng/mL was performed using primary antibody. For signal detection, a 1:4,000 dilution of a HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used.

This antibody is capable of recognizing biotin conjugated proteins. It has very little or no affinity towards binding free biotin.

Biotin is a water-soluble B complex vitamin, generally classified as Vitamin B7. It is required by all organisms and can only be synthesized by bacteria, yeasts, molds, algae, and some plant species. Biotin is required for incorporation of carbon dioxide into organic compounds and exhibits a MW of ~244 Da.
