CBX3 Antibody (A300-982A) in IP
Detection of human CBX3 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CBX3 antibody (Product # A300-982A) used for IP at 3 µg/mg lysate. CBX3 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-CBX3 antibodies A300-983A and A300-984A, which recognize downstream epitopes. For blotting immunoprecipitated CBX3, A300-983A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Target Information
At the nuclear envelope, the nuclear lamina and heterochromatin are adjacent to the inner nuclear membrane. The protein encoded by this gene binds DNA and is a component of heterochromatin. This protein also can bind lamin B receptor, an integral membrane protein found in the inner nuclear membrane. The dual binding functions of the encoded protein may explain the association of heterochromatin with the inner nuclear membrane.
