CPT2 Antibody (A21974) in ICC/IF

Human HDFn cells were paraformaldehyde fixed (4%, 20 min) and Triton X-100 permeabilized (0.1%, 15 min). The cells were incubated with the antibody at 4 µg/mL overnight at 4°C. Secondary antibody: (red) Alexa Fluor® 594 goat anti-mouse IgG (H+L) at a 1/1000 dilution for 1h. 10% Goat serum was used as the blocking agent for all blocking steps. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue). Target protein locates mainly in mitochondria.

CPT2 together with carnitine palmitoyltransferase I oxidizes long-chain fatty acids in the mitochondria. Defects in this gene are associated with mitochondrial long-chain fatty-acid (LCFA) oxidation disorders.
