CTH Antibody (PA5-144083) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of CTH in A431 cells. Enzyme antigen retrieval was performed using IHC enzyme antigen retrieval reagent for 15 mins. The cells were blocked with 10% goat serum. Samples were then incubated in CTH Polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-144083) using a dilution of 5 μg/mL. This gene encodes a cytoplasmic enzyme in the trans-sulfuration pathway that converts cystathione derived from methionine into cysteine. Glutathione synthesis in the liver is dependent upon the availability of cysteine. Mutations in this gene cause cystathioninuria. Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
