Carboxypeptidase B1 Antibody (PA5-28204) in WB
Western blot analysis of Carboxypeptidase B1 was performed by separating 50 µg of mouse tissue extract by 10% SDS-PAGE. Proteins were transferred to a membrane and probed with a Carboxypeptidase B1 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-28204) at a dilution of 1:3000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.

Three different procarboxypeptidases A and two different procarboxypeptidases B have been isolated. The B1 and B2 forms differ from each other mainly in isoelectric point. Carboxypeptidase B1 is a highly tissue-specific protein and is a useful serum marker for acute pancreatitis and dysfunction of pancreatic transplants. It is not elevated in pancreatic carcinoma.
