Western blot using Rocklands affinity purified anti-hCas5 antibody shows detection of a band ~125 kDa in size corresponding to hCas5 (arrowhead). Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This affinity-purified antibody is directed against human Cas5 protein. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross reactivity with Cas5 from human, mouse, chimpanzee, bovine, and rat based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Expect cross reactivity with multiple isoforms of this protein. Cross reactivity with Cas5 from other sources has not been determined.

The protein encoded by this gene is a zinc finger transcription factor. The encoded protein may function as a tumor suppressor, and single nucleotide polymorphisms in this gene are associated with blood pressure variation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants that encode different protein isoforms.
