Cyproconazole is a fungicide that belongs to the triazole chemical class. It is used in agricultural applications to control fungal diseases on crops such as cereals, fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants. Cyproconazole works by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. This disrupts the integrity of the cell membrane and ultimately leads to the death of the fungus.
