MA5-41764 is a chimeric antibody. The variable regions from one species have been grafted to the backbone of the other species.
The DNA-histone H1 complex consists of genomic DNA bound to histone H1, a linker histone that associates with the DNA between nucleosomes. Unlike core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4), which form the nucleosome core particle, histone H1 binds to linker DNA at the entry and exit sites of the nucleosome, helping stabilize higher-order chromatin structure. This complex plays a key role in chromatin condensation, regulation of gene expression, and maintenance of genomic integrity. Under normal conditions, DNA-histone H1 complexes are confined to the nucleus. However, during cell death or tissue damage, these complexes can become extracellularly exposed, where they may contribute to immune activation or serve as tumor-associated targets in certain pathological settings.
