In Western blots, less than 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) 4-1BB Ligand, recombinant human (rh) BAFF R, rhDcTRAIL R3, rmFas, rmOPG, and rhTRAIL R4 is observed and no cross-reactivity with rmCD27, rmCD30, rmDR3, rhDR6, rmEDAR, recombinant feline Fas, rhFas, recombinant rat Fas, rmGITR, rmHVEM, rmLymphotoxin beta R, rmNGF R, rmOX40, rmTNF RI, rmTNF RII, rhTRAIL R1, or rhTROY is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Mouse DcTRAILR1 and DcTRAILR2 (decoy TRAIL receptors 1 and 2) proteins are receptors for TRAIL according to ligand-receptor binding assays (Schneider et al. 2001). However, overexpression does not cause NF-kB activation or apoptosis, as would be expected of a TRAIL receptor. These observations led researchers to refer to these receptors as decoys. It is thought that cells that express decoy TRAIL receptor decoys at high levels relative to actual TRAIL receptors may use decoys as protection against the cytotoxic action of TRAIL (reviewed in Bouralexis et al. 2005). Additional analysis of these two murine TRAIL decoy receptors should help faciliate the understanding of the complex biology underlying TRAIL ligand/receptor interactions. DcTRAILR1 is an amino acid protein of 176 amino acids (GenBank no: NP-077252.2). DcTRAILR2 is an amino acid protein of 198 amino acids (GenBank no: AAN87807.1).
