Desmoplakin Antibody (PA5-115145) in IHC (P)
Immunohistochemistry analysis of Desmoplakin in rat testis tissue. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. Samples were incubated with Desmoplakin polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-115145) using a dilution of 1:100 (4°C overnight) followed by HRP conjugated anti-Rabbit secondary antibody.

Desmoplakin (DSP) is a major high molecular weight protein of the desmosomes. It is involved in the organization of the desmosomal cadherin-plakoglobin complexes into discrete plasma membrane domains and in the anchoring of intermediate filaments to the desmosomes. Desmoplakin mutations are associated with Keratoderma and cardiomyopathy.
