Drosha Antibody (MA5-14784) in WB
Western blot analysis was performed on modified whole cell extracts (1% SDS) (30 µg lysate) of HeLa (Lane 1), HEK-293 (Lane 2), C2C12 (Lane 3) and K-562 (Lane 4). The blot was probed with anti-Drosha Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-14784, 1:1000 dilution) and detected by chemiluminescence using Goat anti Rabbit IgG (Heavy Chain) Superclonal™ Secondary Antibody, HRP conjugate (Product # A27036, 0.25 µg/mL, 1:4000 dilution). A 180 kDa band corresponding to Drosha was detected across the cell lines tested.

Members of the ribonuclease III superfamily of double-stranded (ds) RNA-specific endoribonucleases participate in diverse RNA maturation and decay pathways in eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells (Fortin et al., 2002). The RNase III Drosha is the core nuclease that executes the initiation step of microRNA (miRNA) processing in the nucleus (Lee et al., 2003).
