Lyophilized antibody can be stored at -20°C for up to 3 years. Re-constituted antibody can be stored at 4°C for several days to weeks. Once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 50 µL of sterile water.

ECA1 encodes an endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-localized P-type ATPase (P2A class) that functions as an ER Ca2+/Mn2+ pump important for ion homeostasis and plant stress adaptation. The protein is a large, multi-pass integral membrane transporter with multiple transmembrane helices forming the cation translocation pathway and a cytosolic catalytic core containing the conserved P-type ATPase actuator (A), phosphorylation (P; Asp-containing), and nucleotide-binding (N) domains that drive ATP-dependent transport via a transient phosphoenzyme intermediate. Functional analyses show that ECA1 contributes substantially to ER-type Ca2+-pump activity in vivo and supports normal growth under low external Ca2+ and high Mn2+ conditions; loss of ECA1 causes conditional growth defects and impaired root hair elongation under Mn2+ stress. Biochemical assays in heterologous systems indicate multi-cation specificity, with Ca2+, Mn2+, and Zn2+ able to stimulate formation of the catalytic phosphointermediate, consistent with sequestration of these ions into the ER lumen to shape cytosolic ion dynamics and protect against metal toxicity.
