Western blot analysis of EPHX2 in, Lane 1: human HepG2 whole cell lysates, Lane 2: rat liver tissue lysates, Lane 3: rat kidney tissue lysates, Lane 4: mouse liver tissue lysates, Lane 5: mouse kidney tissue lysates. Electrophoresis was performed on a 5-20% SDS-PAGE gel at 70V (Stacking gel) / 90V (Resolving gel) for 2-3 hours. Positive Control - WB: human HepG2 whole cell, rat liver tissue, rat kidney tissue, mouse liver tissue, mouse kidney tissue. Flow: PC-3 cell.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. This gene encodes a member of the epoxide hydrolase family. The protein, found in both the cytosol and peroxisomes, binds to specific epoxides and converts them to the corresponding dihydrodiols. Mutations in this gene have been associated with familial hypercholesterolemia. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
