GARS Antibody (A304-746A) in WB
Detection of human and mouse GARS by western blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate (50 µg) from HeLa, HEK293T, Jurkat, mouse TCMK-1, and mouse NIH 3T3 cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-GARS antibody (Product # A304-746A) (lot A304-746A-1) used for WB at 0.1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

GARS is a glycyl-tRNA synthetase, one of the aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases that charge tRNAs with their cognate amino acids. This protein is an (alpha)2 dimer which belongs to the class II family of tRNA synthetases. The protein has been shown to be a target of autoantibodies in the human autoimmune diseases, polymyositis or dermatomyositis.
