GATA4 Antibody in Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) (IHC (P)) — Detection of human GATA4 by immunohistochemistry. Sample: FFPE section of human ovarian carcinoma. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-GATA4 (Product # A303-503A) (Lot 2) used at a dilution of 1:1,000 (1 µg/mL). Detection: DAB.

GATA4 Antibody in Western Blot (WB) — Detection of human GATA4 by western blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate (10 µg) from HEK293T, HeLa, SK-N-MC, and Hep-G2 cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-GATA4 antibody (Product # A303-503A lot 2) used for WB at 0.04 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

GATA4 Antibody in Immunoprecipitation (IP) — Detection of human GATA4 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HEK293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-GATA4 antibody (Product # A303-503A) (lot 2) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. GATA4 was also immunoprecipitated by a previous lot of this antibody (Product # A303-503A) (lot 1) and a second antibody against a different epitope of GATA4 (BL12492). For blotting immunoprecipitated GATA4, A303-503A was used at 0.04 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

GATA4 is a member of the GATA family of zinc-finger transcription factors. Members of this family recognize the GATA motif which is present in the promoters of many genes. This protein is thought to regulate genes involved in embryogenesis and in myocardial differentiation and function. Mutations in the gene encoding GATA4 have been associated with cardiac septal defects.
