Lyophilized antibody can be stored at -20°C for up to 3 years. Re-constituted antibody can be stored at 4°C for several days to weeks. Once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please remember to spin the tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoid any losses that might occur from material adhering to the cap or sides of the tube.
For reconstitution add 50 µL of sterile water.
Specific Species Reactivity: Lupinus luteus
GDH2, also called glutamate dehydrogenase 2, is a plant enzyme that catalyzes reversible conversion between glutamate and 2 oxoglutarate with ammonium using NAD or NADP, linking carbon and nitrogen metabolism. GDH2 contributes to amino acid turnover, re assimilation of ammonium, and maintenance of cellular energy balance, especially under carbon starvation, senescence, or stress when alternative routes for nitrogen recycling are needed. It localizes mainly to mitochondria and can show condition dependent directionality, supporting either glutamate catabolism for energy or synthesis when ammonium must be incorporated. Expression of GDH2 responds to developmental cues and environmental factors such as drought, salinity, and pathogen challenge, and genetic studies indicate roles in resilience, nitrogen use efficiency, and modulation of redox and signaling networks connected to glutamate and organic acid pools.
