GLUT2 Antibody (MA5-50125) in ICC/IF
Immunocytochemistry analysis of HepG2 with GLUT2 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-50125) at 1:25, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 495-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L).

Glucose transporter 2 isoform is an integral plasma membrane glycoprotein of the liver, islet beta cells, intestine, and kidney epithelium. It mediates facilitated bidirectional glucose transport. Because of its low affinity for glucose, it has been suggested as a glucose sensor. Mutations in the gene that encode this protein cause Fanconi-Bickel syndrome.
